Job Summary
KAI Hawaii, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, accuracy in financial data entry, and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment. This position offers the opportunity to support various accounting functions within a dynamic and professional workplace.
Responsibilities
- Enter authorized Accounts Payable entries accurately and promptly into the accounting system.
- Communicate payment statuses to staff and vendors.
- Prepare, issue, and track customer invoices; proactively follow up on outstanding and delinquent accounts
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Process deposits on a timely basis
- Assist with monthly General Excise Tax filings.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree or certification in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of accounting experience
- Familiarity with invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes
- Familiarity with general bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting software.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
